Windy City Habitat for Humanity, Chicago's Habitat for Humanity International affiliate, is always seeking qualified families to become partner homeowners. Participation in the partner homeowner program is voluntary, and families are chosen by the Volunteer Family Selection Committee based on a number of factors, including level of need, willingness to become partners in the program, and the family's ability to repay the loan. Windy City Habitat for Humanity encourages and supports equal housing opportunities, and adheres to the Illinois Human Rights Act, meaning there are no barriers to becoming partner homeowners based on the family's race, color, religion, sex, familial status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender presentation, age, disability or national origin.
