Kristy Fercho

Kristy Fercho is a Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Management, West, for Fannie Mae, a government-sponsored enterprise chartered by Congress to keep money flowing to mortgage lenders, to help strengthen the U.S. housing and mortgage markets, and to support affordable homeownership. Ms. Fercho is responsible for the creation and management of Single Family's value proposition for all customers within the twenty-seven states in the Western United States.

Previously, Ms. Fercho served as Senior Vice President--Single-Family Mortgage Business, Central Region. Earlier in her Fannie Mae career, Ms. Fercho was Vice President--Human Resources, responsible for company-wide programs and initiatives to improve the performance, utilization, and satisfaction of Fannie Mae's work force. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2002, Ms. Fercho worked with PepsiCo for eight and a half years, most recently as Director of HR for several corporate functions worldwide. Ms. Fercho began her career at Baxter Healthcare with positions in sales, operations, and HR.

Ms. Fercho serves as a board member for LIFT, an organization to combat poverty and expand opportunity for all people in the United States. She was previously the Chairperson of the National Advisory Council for First American Corporation. In October 2010, Ms. Fercho was recognized by STEM magazine as one of fifty Top Women in Finance.

With her vast experience working for Fannie Mae and having a deep appreciation for the importance of stable housing and the impact it has on families, neighborhoods, and communities, Ms. Fercho joined Windy City Habitat for Humanity in 2011 to help Windy City achieve its mission of eliminating poverty housing in the Chicago Metropolitan area. Ms. Fercho has always believed that when you open yourself up to helping others, you often end up getting back more than you give.

Ms. Fercho earned a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Southern California and a master of business administration from the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
